UK's Daily Mail exclusive story on Andrew Morton's tell-all book about Tom Cruise and Scientology is sending shock waves throughout the world of media and TV. Read it about it here.
With so much coverage about this story, the ETIR staff thought you should gain insight into the ultra-secretive Church of Scientology founded by L. Ron Hubbard and has become the religion of many Hollywood stars.
Don't know L. Ron Hubbard? In the 1980s, he littered the televisions with commercial about his book "Dianetics." If you seen movies such as "Signs," "Battlefield Earth" and "Men in Black 2," you have already been exposed to the teachings of Scientology.
Reportedly, Tom Cruise fell hard for the Church of Scientology with his first wife and since become the religion's "No. 2" man. Combine this with the fact that Cruise now helms movie studio United Artists (UA), he has the power to insist that all UA movies contain hints of Scientology philosophy.
Morton's book is so potentially dangerous to the actor that Cruise has threatened him and the publisher with a $20M lawsuit to stop the publishing of the book.
While waiting on this expose by Andrew Morton, we recommend that you read the following article by John Weldon of the Christian Research Institute.
